Out-The-Window (OTW) Suite

The Out-The-Window (OTW) Suite provides an environment for developing real-time head up crew station displays.

Applications include: Part-Task Trainers; Human Engineering; Crew Workload Studies; Sensor Integration; Mission Effectiveness Research; Mission Rehearsal.

Dump Flight

The Dump Flight module parses a MultiGen^Ò OpenFlight^Ò[1] formatted input file and allows the user to create an ASCII text image of the file(s) or an optimized TRI file(s) for use by other SCS runtime products.

Make Plates

The Make Plates  module reads MIL-STD-2500 (CIB)  file formats and produces an optimized set of visual Plate data files for use by other SCS runtime products.

Terrain

The Terrain module reads a optimized TRI files and Plate Files with their associated texture files and renders the scene. The scene can be driven using the real-time SIMPAC memory interface or a UDP interface. Terrain is designed to use vehicle attitude (pitch, roll, yaw, heading) and position (X, Y, Z).

Terrain overlays the OTW scene with a generic or application specific Head-Up Display (HUD) as a crew aid.

The Terrain module renders an OTW scene on any OpenGL compliant workstation or 3D-accelerator system.
